The Final Recommendations on Environmental Standards following phase 3 of the review have been published (November 2013). This report includes zinc standards.
This is a Sniffer led project, the project funders were Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Environment Agency and Northern Ireland Environmental Agency, the work was done by APEM.
The environmental standards for river flows were developed from work undertaken by SNIFFER profect WFD48 . The environmental standards were developed in order to assess the risk to ecological status posed by alterations in flows across the flow regime.
A technical report on proposals for a first set of standards and conditions was published for review in 2006. The revised report was issued in August 2006 in the form of a recommendation to the UK governments. The UKTAG updated the report in November 2007.
This is a technical report that presents the first set of environmental standards and conditions proposed by the UKTAG to underpin the implementation of the Directive. Our report outlines the background to our proposals and describes the role they could play.
