Typology of water bodies

The UK needs to describe UK water bodies into common types under System A or B of the WFD.

Located below is the guidance on typology approaches applied to lakes, rivers and transitional and coastal waters as developed by the respective task teams including:

Guidance WP2a(01)for transitional and coastal waters.

Guidance WP2a (02) on lakes.

Guidance WP2a (03)on rivers.

Guidance 5a+b (01) with respect to groundwater dependent terrestrial ecosystems (GWDTE)or wetlands.

Guidance WP6a (02)supporting groundwater characterisation.
