2. Managing the interaction of WFD with other European directives being implemented by the UK

The WFD has many interface issues with other water directives. UKTAG is reviewing the implementation requirements to ensure WFD integration of measures from other directives in 2004/05. Consideration will also be given to measures specified under directives due for repeal by the WFD in 2007 and 2013.

UKTAG guidance will be available in 2005 and will set out the key linkages between the WFD and other legislation, as well as any identified actions. In the future, this will be extended to review other important directives.
