Rivers - Fish (FSC2 Scotland)

This classification method encompasses fish abundance, taxonomic composition and age structure.  The tool relates the number of salmon and trout caught in a survey to the predicted abundance and prevalence of the species at the specific site.  The FCS Scotland classification tool relies on predictive statistical models which are based on the Environment Agency Fisheries Classification Scheme 2 (FCS2) method (method statement published in 2008).
