How will progress be reported?

Currently in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, the state of the water environment is reported annually in terms of the results from General Quality Assessment (GQA). In Scotland, SEPA produce an annual report. It is anticipated that under the WFD, the progress made in improving the state of the water environment will continue to be reported by the environment agencies on an annual basis.
